VulpineFind is a UK price comparison site run by Vulpine Mind. This page explains, in plain words, what we keep about you and why. We don't sell your data and we don't use advertising trackers.
What we keep
- Your account: email address and password (the password is stored scrambled; we can't read it).
- Things you save: price alerts, saved searches and filters, and settings.
- Alerts you switch on: your Telegram chat if you link it, and your browser's push address if you allow notifications.
- Business accounts only: stock and purchase records you add, and your eBay connection if you link it.
- Basic visit stats: page views counted by our hosting, without advertising trackers.
You can use search and price comparison without an account. We only ask for an email if you want to save things or get alerts.
Why we use it
- To run your account and show what you've saved (this is needed to provide the service you asked for).
- To send the alerts you chose. You can turn them off at any time in Settings.
- To keep the site safe and working, for example stopping abuse.
Shop links and cookies
Some links are affiliate links through Awin. When you click one, Awin and the shop may set cookies on their own sites so the shop knows the sale came from us. That's covered by their privacy policies. On our own site we only store what's needed to keep you signed in and remember your filters.
Who helps us run it
- Hosting and database: Lovable Cloud (Supabase) and Cloudflare.
- Alerts: Telegram (if you link it) and your browser's push service.
- Email (if you choose email alerts): our email provider.
They only process data to provide these services for us.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. Delete your account and we delete your data, apart from anything the law makes us keep.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email support@vulpinefind.com. If you're unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
